Changes to the standard tourist visa for Sri Lanka

However, Tourism Minister Mr. Harin Fernando recently announced that the single-entry 30-day visa will be re-implemented by the 01st of May 2024. According to the President’s Media Division, this decision was approved by the cabinet on the 06th of May 2024 and thus, the 30-day tourist visa has been retained at a fee of USD 50.

Moreover, it has been affirmed that the free visa service, presently extended to citizens of seven countries—India, China, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia—will continue.
